The one thats suitable for you and its ready to run you can see it under device manager, everything its okay, no exclamation mark, no, nothing and if you go in the arduino ide environment under tools board its already selected on arduino mega, and if you go on Serial port, you can see it its already available on com4.
Folder there is an archive with old arduino drivers, just unzip it and there you have multiple driver files for different arduino boards, install one of them.
And there you have it its ready to run under drivers folder, i used a version from adafruit under drivers.
I used a very, very old, i can say an antique version of arduino, which is 1.0.5 and if you uh use this version or ver, an old version of arduino make sure that youre using a portable one, not the one that needs installation just unzip it. You also need to install some software, but its not very hard to do it. If i connect to this old machine there, we have it but its not just an easy fix. And i tried in order to to fix this situation, i tried a different approach and what i did actually was just using my old windows, xp laptop. What i also found its that most of the solutions were implying reflashing, the 16 u2 chip, but being so many variations of this board, its quite hard to find the right firmware to find the right board and put it into dfu mode.
If i can find a suitable solution for my problem, i found that many people have the same problem. Its available on country, but if we go uh in arduino, ide and uh, we go under tools: the port tab, its not available so ive been looking over the internet to see. I know how well can you see it? Let me just go a little bit closer there. You can see it on the device manager, but it has a small exclamation mark right there in front of the of the name on the on the port icon. So lets connect the board to the usb okay and if we look in device manager, we can see that the board its available. It happened the same to me when uh trying to program the board on a windows 7 laptop. Over here, the mega 16 u2, either its damaged or uh, has a program flaw that prevents it to correct communicate with the computer. Well, the big problem with these replicas uh is that they are sometimes very very difficult to connect to usb the chip responsible for usb communication, which is this uh small square guy.
